President Von der Ahe, of the St. Louis Browns, has twenty-two men under contract this season. Nine twirlers constitute the pitchig department, including Esper, late of Baltimore; Hutchinson, last year with Minneapolis and formerly a Chicagoan; Hart, Donohue and Kissinger, with the Browns last season; Fox, a New England College man; White, of the New York State League, and Evans, of the Virginia State League. The remainder of the team will line up as follows: Catchers, McFarland, Murphy, Douglass and Clifford; first, Connor and Fuller; second, Bierbauer; short stop, Monte Cross; third, Hartman; left field, Sullivan; centre, Turner; right, Dowd.
