The Brown Stockings start for Keokuk tomorrow evening to play there on Tuesday and Thursday. Telegraphic accounts of the games will be received by the Republican.
The White Stockings remain in our city and play as follows:
Monday with the Empires, Tuesday and Wednesday with the Red Sox.
Our St. Louis Reds beat the professional "Westerns" of Keokuk yesterday afternoon, by a score of 6 to 1.

I should also mention, if I haven't already, that the quality of the writing was much better in the Globe. There probably wasn't too many better baseball writers in the country than the Globe's William Spink and the Republican's coverage pales in comparison.
